Abstract
Comparison of four greenhouses covered with respectively PE, PEIR, EVA and PE with a permanent thermal screen of PEIR with all films during the first year of utilisation.
This allowed us to detect that EVA and PEIR covering films results in higher minimum air and soil temperatures during the winter period, while during the spring period the maximum temperatures were lower.
Luminosely was the highest under PE greenhouse and EVA was more transparent than PEIR, while use of a permanent PEIR screen results in an important light reduction under greenhouse.
Best greenhouse growth results and earliness of tomato crop were also obtained under EVA film, while total yield and fruit calibre were also the best under EVA film.
EVA seems to be the best film choice for Tunisian conditions.
