Abstract
A twenty-year experiment showed a positive responce of orchards, berry-fruit plantations and nursery gardens to fertilization on turf podzolic light loams with an average percentage of nutrient elements in the process of planting and exploitation.
The choice of optimum rates of mineral and organic fertilizers was determined by the variety, time and method of applying fertilizers.

This work gives the results of the comparative study of 4 methods for determining the content of nitrates in the soil and plant tissues.
