Abstract
Strategic planning and financial monitoring were developed for a company serving people with learning difficulties.
Prior to the implementation of the plan, financial and market pressures were challenging the mission of the company.
Through a business plan, the purpose of the Government funded element was defined, private sponsorship increased, a capital rebuilding project undertaken and costs contained.
This enabled the Company to fulfil both its social and economic goals despite a period of general recession in the economy.
