Abstract
The political and economical reforms in Poland have caused changes also on the horticultural market.
We have observed a decline of state and cooperative organizations and a rapid development of private trade.
Therefore, an attempt has been made to find out the present role of all these factors on the wholesale and retail horticultural markets.
The study presented in this paper is part of a research programme carried out in our Department.
