Abstract
In this paper, the results of Almond breeding program are shown. 51 families deriving from crosses of 12 almond varieties were studied.

The main objectives envisaged in the selection processes were: Self-compatibility, late flowering and drougth resistance.

After many years observing the progenies 17 genotypes combining self-compatibility and drougth resistance were preselected in 93′. Also 150 preselected genotypes combining late flowering and self-compatibility are now implanted in a cold area where the occurrence of frecuent frost is delaying the selection processes.
