Abstract
In the field experiment, in the three-year observations 33 varieties of butterhead and crisphead summer lettuce are included.
We were interested in the time of maturity, yield and bolting at the particular varieties of this collection.
The promising varieties (11) have been estimated in the field micro-experiment in the two sowings.
As criterion for the evaluation, the period of the marketable maturity, grade of quality and yield are taken into consideration.
During analysis of variance and covariance the treatment of data has been applied.
The results are presented in the tables and indicate the classification of particular varieties regarding the qualities.
