THE INFLUENCE OF THE SOWING DATE ON THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF PEPPER

In the field production of pepper (Capsicumannuum L.) in Macedonia there are production directions which can mainly be divided as follows:

• Early field production

• Middle early field production

• Late field production and

• Later field production

In the above mentioned production directions, the ontogenetic development of the plants takes place in different periods of the year, different durations of the day and different meteorological conditions.
All this has a strong influence on the growth and development of the plants of the pepper in the individual directions of production.
