Abstract
The use of planning methods should be appropriate to achieve operational decisions and for reduction of risk.
But this requires, that policy decisions of enterpreneurs can be taken into consideration in the planning methods.
Farm planning by linear or non linear programming means usually maximisation of a single objective function subject to constraints given by the available resources.
This fixing to maximize one single amount has been frequently critized, because there are some factors not taken into account in this procedure which are usually of great importance for the decision maker.
In horticultural enterprises, where we use linear programming especially for planning short-term programms we can view that such factors can lead to a selection of a programm other than the optimal one.
That means the optimum we find in our planning models may not be identical with the conception the decision maker wants to realize.
This paper deals with some possibilities with regard to enterprising targets by using several objective functions.
