Abstract
Normal shoot development can be induced in tip meristem explants by 2–5 ppm benzylaminopurine (BAP), when using the medium after Murashige and Skoog (1962) at 1/10 strength with 2% sucrose and without indoleacetic acid (IAA).

After shoot differentiation 2 ppm IAA in connection with active coal (0.25%) and in absence of BAP induce root development.
IAA supplied to the medium at the beginning of the meristem culture causes fast callus growth.
Rooted plants can be obtained about 90–120 days after preparation of the meristems.
The best environmental conditions were found at a constant temperature of 25°C and a light intensity of 3000 Lux 16 hours per day.
