Abstract
Anthers of Malus domestica/cultivar Jonathan/culture on a modifid medium Murashige and Skoog/1962. After five weeks of culture obtained from pollen grains globular 32 and 64 celled embryoids from uninucleate microspores.
Globular embryoid obtained from pollen grains were raised to green torpedo embryos length 3 mm after 10 weeks culture.
Induction of microspores were not observed in younger and older stages of anther development.
In such anthers only callus were obtained.
