Abstract
The in vitro tissue culture offers a powerful aid for the acceleration of cabbage plant production, especially when referring to parental lines of F1 hybrids, plants that have a strong genetic background.
The success of these efforts depends on an efficient micropropagation protocol that can provide an affordable and stable number of plants.
The present study aimed toward the establishment of a viable protocol for the micropropagation and the acclimatization of white cabbage plants obtained from the culture in vitro of explants on different MS basal medium with several combinations of growth regulators.
The neoformation of vegetative buds and shoots had the highest ratio on the variant with low concentration of BAP. The addition of IAA increase the number of the regenerated shoots, many of them presenting strong roots.
The shoots that didn’t form roots were isolated and transferred to a rooting medium with NAA or without growth regulators.
After the shoots were rooted, they were transferred to hydroponics conditions.
Different hydroponics conditions were tested.
The best results (that allowed us to decrease the losses) were obtained on variant that contained “Previcur”.
