SOME SPEAKING PLANT APPROACH TO THE SYNTHESIS OF CONTROL SYSTEM IN THE GREENHOUSE
For the better synthesis of the control system, we should take into consideration the dynamics in the system containing of both greenhouse and crops.
Dynamic responses of the crop in the greenhouse is so called "speaking plant". Therefore, it should be necessary to examine the speaking plant approach (SPA) to the synthesis of the control system in the greenhouse.
As the SPA is based on physiological plant ecology, the first step for the SPA should be examined based on the identification of the physiological ecological processes.
In this paper, the time domain approach to net CO2 uptake was investigated, using sunflower and tomatoes of Sonatine and Marathon.
Experiments were done both in a computer controlled growth cabinet and in a computer aided greenhouse constructed at Institute of Experimental Farm of Ehime University.
All procedures were carried out based on the system theory and control engineering.
The dynamic responses, however, could be estimated effectively by the impulse response of the crop obtained from system identification method.
Furthermore, we could identify and estimate any response of net CO2 uptake as affected by the environmental changes.
Therefore, it may be evident that we can synthesize the effective control system based on newly proposed computer network.
