Abstract
Recent developments in greenhouse technology, such as the introduction of computer-based control systems, double cladding, secondary linings, and thermal screens, have had considerable impact on the greenhouse climate.
In particular they have affected temperature, relative humidity, and the concentrations of carbon dioxide and of aerial pollutants.
Our knowledge of crop response to these factors is reviewed and some deficiencies in our knowledge are identified.
