Abstract
This report presents a general overview of the use of computers today for the control of environment, and other functions, in commercial greenhouses.
A strong need is expressed for the development of improved and innovative sensors to permit more complete use of the capabilities of computers.
An equally great need exists for more complete plant growth rate models to permit researchers to develop optimization procedures for greenhouse crop production.
