Abstract
To obtain the maximum profit of CO2 enrichment in greenhouses large fluctuations of CO2 should be prevented.
Therefore the depletion of CO2 due to ventilation and photosynthesis should be compensated for.
Therefore the depletion of CO2 due to ventilation and photosynthesis should be compensated for.
In this study a disturbance variable feed forward control system is developed based on simple static ventilation rate and canopy photosynthesis models.
The algorithm was tested under spring conditions with setpoints of 600 and 950 ppm.
Generally the algorithm functioned satisfactorily, however for very dynamic outside conditions the algorithm needs refinement.
