Abstract
A post-harvest treatment of Freesia with silverthiosulphate prolongs vase life and increases the number of buds opening per inflorescence.
Addition of the cytokinins benzyladenine, phenylmethyltetrahydropyranpurinamine and furfurylaminopurine to the silverthiosulphate solution lengthened vase life still more, but did not affect the number of opening buds.
