Abstract
The water supply of 180–240 m3/ha, given out once or twice in the last third of April, and in the first third of May, can be the determinant factor of the yield of pea, when there is dry winter and spring, under the climate and soil conditions of Hungary.
During the period of the vegetative growing, and later, during the flowering – under the 70 % of the useful water content of the soil – 2–3 × 25–30 mm irrigation is required.
