Abstract
Our Department has been studying throughout 25 years, since 1962, the effect of water supply on yield and quality of tomato.
Caused by the altering rainfall relations, the plod-developing effects of irrigations are different.
Generally, it is favourable the effect increasing the quantity, average mass and dry material yield of the crops but it is not favourable the decrease of refraction % effected by irrigation.
The relation revealed between the course of water supply and the different components of yield promotes to assure the optimum dynamic of water supply depending on the production aim in the course of cultivation.
