Abstract
Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) was identified as a natural compound in the crucifer Arabidopsis thaliana. The concentration of the auxin was determined under different culture conditions in comparison to indole-3-acetic acid (IAA). Furthermore, we have demonstrated the ability of Arabidopsis to metabolize IBA to two different compounds which were tentatively identified as an ester and an amide conjugate.
