Abstract
A trial was carried out to determine the effects of concentration (20 and 60 ppm) and application time (two and four weeks after full bloom) of CPPU foliar treatment on fruit weight and qualitative characteristics of table olives (cvs.
Ascolana tenera and Santa Caterina) before and after processing.

CPPU caused an appreciable increase in size and average fruit weight when applied two weeks after full bloom and especially at the highest concentration (60 ppm), while after four weeks, there were few or no effects.
Weight increase of the fruit was not caused by an increase in the water content.
No significant differences in other qualitative characteristics of olives was noted.
