Abstract
Preharvest drop of apples is a major problem in some cultivars, mainly in warm and dry growing zones.
Phenoxy – auxins like Fenoprop have reduced fruit drop better than NAA, but stable residues in the fruit – rule out the preference of the previous group.

The effect of NAA can be fortified by increased dosage by repeated application or by mild acidic buffers.
Other auxin products of the same group, as NAAm or betaNoAA have also provided fair reduction in the preharvest drop, comparable to 2,4,5,-TP.
