Plum breeding started at INRA in 1958–1960. FERMAREINE is the first in a series of European Plum for table. fresh consumption (Prunus Domestica L.) Others Cultivars for drying were released by the INRA Grande Ferrade Station : PRIMACOTES ® Coten, LORIDA ® Enspa, TARDICOTES ® Enduke and more recently SPURDENTE ® Ferco (artificial mutation).
