INVESTIGATIONS ON SOME OF THE PLUM VARIETIES IN CUKUROVA REGION (TURKEY)

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to search the possibilities of growing some plum cultivars in Cukurova Region.
Some Japanese and European cultivars were used in the study.
The observations were done in 1991 and 1992. The flowering dates are reported.
Fruit yield per trunk cross sectional unit area were determined.
In addition to these, many analysis were made.

The earliest flowering was observed on Methley and the latest flowering was observed on Stanley.
In the experiment, it was determined that the cultivars had different pomologic features.
