Abstract
Nearly 50 plum cultivars were evaluated between 1970 – 1993. With regard to eating quality, productivity, fruit size, colour and shape, the cultivars Opal, Bleue de Belgique, Anna Späth, Sanctus Hubertus, Reine-Claude Souffriau, Jubileum, President and Edwards (Colbus) appeared to be interesting for practical growing in Belgium and/or The Netherlands.
President and Edwards were mainly interesting because of high and regular cropping, and their large, blue fruits.
