Abstract
This work was carried out during 1988 – 1992 with seven Japanese and European plum cultivars in GAP (Southeast Anatolia area). These cultivars were Santa Rosa, Formosa, Wickson, Climax, Red Heard, Stanley and Can.
In the experimental years, flowering periods, harvesting date, total yield and yield per tree of the plum cultivars were determined.
For the pomological fruit characteristics average fruit weight, width, length, fruit flesh/seed, TTS ratio, pH of the cultivars were investigated.
As a result, Wickson, Burbank, Climax plum cultivars were found as the most suitable plum cultivars to GAP area.
