Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the effects of two different foliar fertilizers, Humic Acid and Trisert-CB, on growth, yield and leaf nutrient content of lettuce and crisp lettuce grown under greenhouse conditions.
Plant size, head weight, leaf number, marketable yield, macro and microelement contents of plants were determined.
Humic Acid (HA) and Trisert-CB at the 1% level were applied weekly to leaves after transplanting the seedlings to the time of harvest.
Effects of foliar fertilizers on the growth and yield parameters were not significant in lettuce, except for head width, but the best results were obtained in crisp lettuce with 1 % applications of HA and Trisert-CB. Nutrient content of leaves treated with HA and Triset-CB was significantly higher than that of the control.
