Abstract
In a selection work on walnut naturally grown in K.Maras region of Turkey 24 homogamic trees were selected.
This number represent 14.20% of the 171 selected trees.
In these trees flowering periods of male and female flowers are overlapping at least for 6 days.The quality characteristics of nuts of these selected walnut types are quite valuable.
Out of these 24 homogamic trees 22 are very productive and 2 are productive.
Their in -shell weights varied between 12.09 g and 16.07 g, kernel weights changed between 6.01 g and 8.04 g.
Their shelling percentages are between 45.97% and 52.06%. Shell colors are generally light and kernel colors are generally yellow, light- yellow and white.
