Abstract
Pathogenicity tests were conducted for ten organisms associated with crown rot of banana (CRB) in organic and integrated banana production systems in Costa Rica.
Pathogenicity was tested on two banana cultivars.
On cultivar Cavendish, the most aggressive fungi were Fusarium verticilloides, F. subglutinans, F. proliferatum and F. sacchari. On Gros Michel, the most aggressive were F. verticilloides, F. semitectum, F. sacchari, F. graminearum. Overall, Gros Michel was more susceptible to these organisms than Cavendish.

Se hicieron pruebas de patogenicidad de diez organismos asociados con la pudrición de la corona del banano (PCB) en sistemas de producción de banano orgánico e integrado.
La patogenicidad se probó en dos cultivares de banano.
En el cultivar Cavendish, los hongos más agresivos fueron Fusarium verticilloides, F. subglutinans, F. proliferatum and F. sacchari. En el cultivar Gros Michel, los más agresivos fueron F. verticilloides, F. semitectum, F. sacchari, F. graminearum. En general, el Gros Michel fue más susceptible que Cavendish a estos organismos.
