CHANGES IN ATROPA BELLADONNA L. AND DATURA INNOXIA MILL. SEEDS GERMINATION PROCESS INFLUENCED BY GA₃

Germination ability and initial growth of Datura and Atropa seedlings were markedly higher if the seeds soaked in GA₃ solutions.
Respiration, oxido-reduction enzymes in the seeds were analysed.
Anatomical investigations of the seeds were also done.
The low seed germination was correlated with the rates of endogenous hormones particulary with high ABA.
