Abstract
Soil salinity and secondary salinization are two vital factors affecting watermelon production which severely limit the sustainable development of watermelon in China, the selection of salt tolerant watermelon germplasm is of great significance.
Fifty watermelon accessions were used in this research, the seedlings with three leaves were treated by 250 mM NaCl, the physiological indicators and salt-damage index of watermelon seedlings were measured after 8 days of NaCl treatment, 2 salt tolerant watermelon accessions and 6 salt sensitive watermelon accessions were obtained according to our result.
These data can provide some reference for salt tolerance breeding of watermelon.
