Abstract
A growing-room can be defined as a highly insulated building for production of plants and provided with technical equipment for the optimal control of growth factors.
Plant-growing under artificial conditions has been known since the 1930es, but mainly at research centres and universities.
In spite of relatively high initial investments and operation costs a number of Danish commercial growers have, however, started using growing-rooms in recent years.
Experience from these rooms show that a production of cuttings is profitable.
Below, three different types are described, all for the use of the commercial grower.
