Abstract
An experiment is described on the use of bark as a substrate for tomatoes with and without the inclusion of peat, perlite, vermiculite and gel.
Results show that significantly higher yields were obtained with the inclusion of 20% perlite, and provided care is taken in watering and feeding; bark on its own gives very good yields without any other additions.
