Abstract
We have composted two types of sewage sludge from different sources mixed with pine bark.
Large piles were built so as to compare the process with an industrial one.

The materials were analized every 15 days during composting.
Temperatures were high.
Some turnings and waterings were done to favour descomposition.

At the end of composting a sample of each pile was sieved and a growing experience was carried out with Petunia, Dieffenbachia and Scindapsus aureus.

The final compost has good physical and physico-chemical properties and can be used as a substrate.
