EFFECT OF THE TIME OF BUDDING ON THE SHOOT GROWTH OF PISTACHIO CV BIANCA

On pistachio cv Bianca, the length of the sprouts arisen from buddings performed on three dates, from the beginning of June to the end of July, was periodically measured.

At the end of the first growing season, shoots from the III time of budding were the shortest ones, even though the difference was quite small.

This evidence persisted during the first development stage of the second growing season but, by July, no difference could be found among all the shoots from the three times of budding.
