Abstract
In studies conducted on chemical control of the Pistachio twig borer (PTB), Kermania pistaciella Ams., in Gaziantep province in 1989 and 1992, it was concluded that insecticide applications should be made one week after the first adult emergence with a second application 10–15 days later, depending on the residual effects of the products.
The following insecticides can be recommended for suppressing PTB damages: monocrotophos, azinphos-methyl, and carbaryl.
