Abstract
The harvesting of dry bean is one of the most important processes.
That specialized machines for trashing pods are not being used is due to different reasons.
It was found out that the harvest combines waste and damage the grain production considerably if a reconstruction and replacement of the single working systems for dry bean are not conducted (1, 2, 3). In relation to this, harvest combines with working systems of a new type are being developed by improving single units and aggregates.
The rotor combines as well as the flexible cutter bar headers with a new cutting mechanism and with an automatic cutting height control are of interest (3,4).

At the Institute for wheat and sunflower “Dobroudga”, an investigation concerning the harvesting of dry bean by means rotor combines and flexible cutter bar headers was conducted.
The aim of this investigation is to establish the possibility of direct harvesting of common bean by means of headers for low harvest, as well as the quality of pods, and the trashing by rotor combine.
