Abstract
Races of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi were distinguished by means of aryl esterase electrophoresis.
The fungi used in this study were the following: isolates of F. oxysporum f. sp. dianthi, races 2 (from Bogotá and Italy), 1, 4 and 8; F. oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici; non pathogenic F. oxysporum; and Phialophora cinerescens. There were fewer differences among the special forms of F. oxysporum than in Fusarium as a species.
The isolates considered as non-pathogenic differed slightly from each other, contrary to races 1 and 4.
