Abstract
Teflutrina, carbofuran, benfuracarbamato, amitraz and deltametrina were evaluated to control the Collembola Onychiurus armatus Tullberg in a commercial crop of carnations.
Insecticide treatments were replicated four times in a randomized complete block design.
Insecticides were applied to the soil in drench.
Plant length and weight, stems diameter, weight and size of flowers, and number of flowers produced, were measured.
Results showed significant effects of O. armatus on length and weight of plants.
The best results were given by teflutrina.
All other treatments were similar to the untreated check.
