Abstract
In the present studies, a germplasm exploration and collection trip was undertaken in Gharsa and Nagar valleys of Kullu district and Lahaul areas of Lahaul Spiti district.
During this exploration, 20 superior selections of wild fruits were made.
The fruit genetic resources collected were wild pomegranate (4 accessions), walnut (4 accessions), wild peach (3 accessions), wild apricot (4 accessions), wild persimmon (2 accessions), prunes (2 accessions) and peach x almond natural hybrid (1 accession). The fruit characteristics of these accessions and their indigenous use by local people have been described here.
