Abstract
In order to treat certain minor diseases and get rid of certain diseases, the herbal medicine is usually valid and indicated provided we know how to benefit from its active principles to a maximum.
For this, it is necessary to know the plant, the drug to be used, the way to use it and the dose to consume.
Among plants used in herbal medicine the very common cymbopogon in Sahara, has antispasmodic, antiseptic, anti-hypertension and inflammatory properties.
Starting from this principle, a descriptive and analytical study of this plant was carried out in the laboratory of medical botany, faculty of medicine of Annaba, with a histological, anatomic study and an extraction and separation of essential oil of Cymbopogon schoenanthus of the wilaya of Ghardaïa – Algeria.
For this, it is necessary to know the plant, the drug to be used, the way to use it and the dose to consume.
