Abstract
The apricot tree (Prunus armeniaca) is one of the most important fruit species grown worldwide, as consumers highly appreciate its fruit.
Apricots play an important role in human nutrition due to their good source of carbohydrates, protein, and vitamins, especially A and C. The excessive use of chemical fertilizers in orchards has caused significant environmental problems, reduced product quality, and compromised food safety.
The application of nutrients by foliar spraying has become a common practice for many crops, providing the benefit of balancing plant nutrition.
Also, foliar fertilization is practical and economical, with a low risk of environmental pollution.
Therefore, biostimulants have been used as ecological ways to increase yield, fruit quality, and abiotic stress tolerance.
The current study was carried out between 2021 and 2023 to investigate the influence of Cropmax foliar sprays at 0.5 and 1.0 L
ha-1, compared with a control (untreated trees), on the performance of the ‘Olimp’ apricot cultivar.
The results show that spraying with Cropmax increased fruit production and the physico-chemical characteristics of the fruits compared to untreated trees in the study years.
