Abstract
The objective of this work was the to evaluate effect of different storage conditions and planting dates of garlic cloves “seeds” on commercial crop yield.
Garlic cloves of “white” and “red” types, after 30 days of harvesting up to planting, were store in two different conditions: one in natural environmental conditions and the other in controlled conditions at 15 °C.
Garlic cloves of “white” and “red” types, after 30 days of harvesting up to planting, were store in two different conditions: one in natural environmental conditions and the other in controlled conditions at 15 °C.
Three different planting dates (early normal and late) were used for each planting date a complete randomized block design, with four replications was used.
Photoperiod response was different according to the requirement of the different genotypes.
The best yield was obtained with “white” garlic cloves (seeds) stored at 15 °C in cool room and planted in the earliest date.
