Abstract
Gladiolus hibridus cut flowers are generally cultivated in highland areas in Indonesia after vegetables or other flower plants.
Demand for this flower increases each year.
Corms of plants with 2 buds are most advantageous for multiplication.
Dr.
Mansoer and Malang Stripe are the most popular cultivars, but their prices are very low.
NPK fertilizer was used to produce optimum flower size. Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. gladioli attack almost 100 percent of plants, while attack by Botrytis gladiolorum occurs during the corm storage phase.
The key pest of gladioli was Thaeniothrips simplex DLS. Postharvest treatments of flower and corm were used to increase quality of flowers and corm.
