Abstract
The objective was to prevent the absorption of rainwater through the fruit skin by spraying chitosanide and surfactant on fruits.
The results showed that four or five sprayings of chitosanide alone were efficient in reducing cherry splitting, and that two sprays with a combination of chitosanide in lower concentrations and the surfactant Bond X also reduced cherry splitting.
