Abstract
Chinese jujube (Ziziphus jujuba Mill.) originating in China has been cultivated for thousands of years and nowadays occupy the first main cultivated species among dried fruit trees after efficient development since implementation of reform and opening-up policy.
It is well known that various nutritions are fully harbored in jujube fruit, especially, 3,5-cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) which contributes as the second messenger, however, vanishing in plant cells generally.
Thus, relative researches on Chinese jujube cAMP content were collected in this review for the purpose of accelerating exploration of plant cAMP metabolism.
Specifically, separation and measurement of cAMP in jujube fruit, principle of cAMP content variation during fruit development, differentiation of cAMP content among diverse cultivars and candidate adenylate cyclase (AC) genes are comprised.
