Abstract
Hybrids issuing from crosses in the years 1967–68 were evaluated in 7 fruit bearing years.
Based on the rhythm of microsporogenesis the best winter and spring frost hardy hybrids can be expected in the varieties Almond Apricot, Early Rose, Late Rose and Budapest as their frost hardiness is genetically fixed.
Productivity can also be improved by using certain varieties.
Similar results were obtained in improving fruit size.
Lateness is the dominant factor in the inheritance of blossoming and ripening.
