Abstract
Institute of Fruit Production, Skopje has a collection of about 120 introduced and autcethonous varieties and types of apricot where phenology, yield and quality of fruits as well as frost hardiness, diseases etc. are regularly recorded.
Varieties are divided into four groups according to their maturity dates: early, mid-early, mid-late and late.
In this paper data of 10 late varieties of apricot ripening at the end of July are given.
From these especially are distinguished:
- Roxana by very large fruits (74 g) and the least vigorous tree
- Dolgocutna which has the longest blossoming period, it averages 19 days but in some years 24 days
- Late Hungarian (a type of Hungarian), blossoms and ripens latest.
These are interesting for selection and producing plantations.
