Abstract
A comparison between cultivationin the open airand under polythylene minitunnel was made using four determine tomato hybrids, the tradional Elviro and Guay and the long shelf hybrids Merav and T-9301. Minitunnel cultivation increased dramatically early production.
Regarding total yield, a high increase in the traditional hybrids and a slight increase inthe long shelf life ones were detected when minitunnel was used.
Fruit size in general was also bigger in the minitunnel cultivation technique.
