PRODUCTION OF TRANSGENIC PLANTS OF CHRYSANTHEMUM MORIFOLIUM RAMAT WITH THE GENE OF BAC. THURINGIENSIS δ-ENDOTOXIN

Abstract
Based on the developed regeneration methods, a genetic transformation of Chrysanthemum varieties by vector constructions with the gene of Bac. thuringiensis delta-endotoxin was performed.
Transformation of Bornholm by cointegrative vector pGV3850 with the delta-endotoxin gene under TR-1′ promoter did not result in production of plants stably growing on selective media with the high content of antibiotics.

Transformation by a binar vector system based on the armed strain A281 and plasmid pBTP41 with the delta-endotoxin gene under promoter 35S allowed production of 2 lines of White Harricone plants with incorporation of the delta-endotoxin gene into the genome supported by blot hybridization according to Sauthern.
During the active growth in a greenhouse, the transgenic plants were not visibly injured by web tick in the absence of chemical treatment.
