Abstract
The trees of two plum cultivars Stanley and Sweet Common Prune (Prunus domestica L.) originated from in vitro and grafted on Cherry Plum (Prunus cerasifera Ehrh.) rootstock were compared.
The cultivar Stanley propagated in vitro can be recommended for the commercial orchards.
There were no differences in coming into bearing, the yield size, the fruit size, susceptibility to plum pox virus in comparison with the trees grafted on the rootstock.
The micropropagated Sweet Common Prune trees were less vigorous by 50 % and it was the only advantageous of TC trees in comparison with the grafted ones.
